solid water phantomIt can quickly and easily replace the traditional water tank for routine detection of linear accelerator photon beams, greatly improving work efficiency. The phantom sheets made of this special material have high enough strength and will not stick together when stacked and stored. This means that there will be no debris during use, greatly improving the safety of use. It has good stability to changes in temperature and humidity, that is, its physical properties will not be affected by changes in environmental factors. This ensures accurate measurement results in different environments.
The hollow sheet design makes the solid water phantom more flexible in use. The cavity can accommodate different measurement equipment, such as parallel plate ionization chambers or finger-shaped ionization chambers, to meet different measurement needs; a variety of standard slice thickness and size options are available to adapt to different usage scenarios and needs. This allows users to choose appropriate phantom specifications according to specific needs, improving convenience and accuracy of use.
solid water phantomDetermination steps:
1. Preparation stage:
-Check the phantom: Check whether the appearance is damaged or deformed to ensure its integrity. At the same time, confirm that the specifications and dimensions of the phantom meet the measurement requirements.
-Select a suitable dosimeter: According to the measurement needs, you can choose a dosimeter such as a parallel plate ionization chamber or a finger-shaped ionization chamber, and install it correctly in the cavity of the phantom.
-Set up the measurement environment: Place it on a level and stable surface to ensure that the phantom is placed stably to avoid shaking that affects the measurement results. At the same time, ensure that the temperature and humidity of the measurement environment are within the appropriate range. Generally, the temperature should be maintained at 20℃±2℃, and the relative humidity should be between 50-70.
2. Measurement stage:
-Determine the measurement points: According to the type of radiotherapy equipment and the purpose of measurement, determine the points that need to be measured on the solid water phantom, such as points at different depths on the central axis, points on the edge of the radiation field, etc.
-Carry out irradiation measurement: irradiate the solid water phantom according to the set irradiation conditions, such as ray energy, irradiation field size, source to phantom distance, etc. During the irradiation process, ensure that the parameters of the radiotherapy equipment are stable and record the irradiation time and dosimeter readings.
-Multiple measurements: In order to improve the accuracy and reliability of measurements, multiple measurements are required for each measurement point, and the average value is taken as the measurement result.
3. Data processing and analysis:
-Data recording: Record the dosimeter readings, irradiation conditions and other data obtained for each measurement in detail for subsequent analysis and processing.
-Data analysis: Based on the measurement data, draw depth ionization curves, dose distribution maps, etc., and analyze the dose distribution of rays at different depths and locations. Compare the measurement results with theoretical values or standard values to evaluate whether the performance of the radiotherapy equipment meets the requirements.
