CIRS 036A-CVXX-XX radiotherapy test phantomIt is an anthropomorphic thorax containing an articulated spine, ribs, and lungs. All materials are available for kV and MV energies. The thoracic section contains two lung tumor volumes with an ionization chamber in the center of each target*. The phantom also included a lung insert with an irregularly shaped lung target. The proximity of the lung target to the vertebral body allows clinicians to measure high-resolution dose distribution to the target and dose to the spinal cord in a single delivery. The surface of the thorax is machined with concentric targets and alignment marks for routine system checks.
ourThe 036S model has more options for verifying hazardous doses in the spine, including a removable split spine. The removable spine facilitates the use of radiochromic membranes in the sagittal direction on the lower half of the spinal rod and ion chamber cavities in the spinal cord and vertebrae on the upper half of the removable spinal rod. Alignment marks at 0, 90, 180 and 270 degrees allow for consistent repositioning, and precision-cut membranes with integral positioning holes are available for lung inserts and spinal inserts.
withOptional abdominal slices of 3D spinal anatomy (Model 036-01) are available for film and nanoDotTM dosimetry. It can also accommodate CBCT image quality models (Model 062QA-35). Model 036-01 provides additional bolus functionality to evaluate abdominal dose due to non-coplanar beams.
