CIRS 052A breast phantomis an ultrasound needle breast biopsy phantom with amorphous lesions, specially designed for ultrasound-guided needle biopsy training and experimentation. The non-spherical shape of the embedded target allows practice in 2D, 3D and 4D image acquisition.

CIRS 052A breast phantomIt accurately simulates the ultrasonic properties of tissue found in the breast of an average person, with the size and shape of the phantom mimicking that of an average patient in the supine position. In each phantom, there were six randomly distributed cystic masses and six dense masses.

because it is made ofMade with Zerdine®'s self-healing formula, the phantom will allow for multiple biopsy insertions with minimal needle stick marks. Stitches usually disappear within minutes (sometimes seconds) of moving the needle. Each cystic mass can be aspirated once, and each dense mass can be biopsied multiple times.

Special trays assist in correct hand placement during training.
