Introduction:
USAThe CIRS digital breast tomosynthesis QC phantom is designed to solve the quality control issues of digital breast tomosynthesis systems (DBT). The phantom can be used for software analysis and "traditional" visual testing.
This model consists ofConsists of 8 homogeneous plates made from breast equivalent material with a 50/50 ratio of glandular and adipose tissue (BR50/50). Optional swirl plates, which can be purchased separately, are composed of fat and gland tissue in an approximately 50/50 weight ratio. Three homogeneous plates include the imaging targets. Each semicircular slab measures 100×180×10mm. This allows the use of a combination of uniform and vortex plates to test the effect of scattered radiation on image quality under more clinically relevant non-uniform conditions.
The CIRS 021 Digital Breast Tomosynthesis QC Phantom includes a magnetically fixed positioning bracket for repeatable alignment and positioning on the DBT scanner.
