USAThe RSD RS-240 Angiography Head Phantom bridges the gap between physical and demodulation information needs. In a tissue-equivalent material model, the male collarbone contains a one-dimensional high-contrast vascular simulation to facilitate correlation of the radiologist's subjective assessment of the vascular tract image volume with actual measured minutes and contrast under the same exposure conditions.

The RSD RS-240 Angiography Head Phantom provides a "dry run" to check the angiography equipment and ensure it is operating satisfactorily in all important details before performing radiological procedures on the patient. If an imaging system malfunctions, phantoms also play a vital role in isolating and verifying correction of the problem. Angiographic head imaging limits variables to components and technique and is a valuable service and teaching tool.

RSD soft tissue equivalent material was used in skin tissue and the neck and was adjusted to intracranial brain density. This material closely replicates wrist tissue in radioactive absorption and scattering properties. The phantom is virtually shatterproof.

A high-contrast three-dimensional blood vessel pattern is placed in the midplane. This pattern is very similar to internal pre-arterial arteriography in its early stages. The radiodensity of the angiographic pattern has been adjusted to represent75% contrast agent. Illusions can be used across the board.

Angiography avatars can be full head or half head. The complete head has the advantage of representing the full scattering properties and subject contrast of the human head. The half-head cross pattern is ideal for off-grid techniques. It has the advantages of being lighter in weight, lower in cost, smaller in size and can easily fit into a bag.
