Higher resolution and efficiencyAs shown in the picture1As shown,LaBrThe resolution performance ratio ofNaI(Tl) system is higher than approx.2times. Note thatNaI(Tl) detectors and lanthanum bromide detectors cannot reachHPGeDetector resolution. For the same volume,LaBrThe efficiency isNaI(Tl) about1.3times, and the decay time constant is slightly larger thanNaIdetector decay time10% (see table1). On the basis of optoelectronics output,LaBrThanNaI(Tl) has higher efficiency and temperature stability
High count rate compatibility
Lanthanum bromide detectors can operate over a wide dynamic range of count rates with little change in energy resolution.
