Detailed introduction
Precision internal rack-mounting construction ensures repeatable detector/sample geometry. Front-opening hinged door allows easy insertion and removal of samples and detectors.
A variety of charged particle detectors equipped with Microdot S-93 connectors are available. Typically, one would use an ORTEC ion implantation or surface barrier type detector in the B mount; in some applications detectors in the E or T mount are also suitable.
The sample tray is made of special low-background material. The chamber is equipped with a sealed electrical feedthrough that accepts a Microdot S-93 for ready installation of a silicon charged particle detector and preamplifier.
A 3-inch hook-and-loop fastener is provided for attaching the preamp to the rear panel.
The ORTEC ALPHA-PPS-115 (or -230) portable pump can be used in conjunction with the Model 808 vacuum chamber. Model 808OPT1 optional vacuum hose is 4 feet long and connects to the ALPHA-PPS-115 (or -230).
