Detailed introduction

ORTEC 925-SCINT ACE-MATE Preamplifier, Amplifier, Bias Supply, and Single Channel Analyzer (SCA)
  • Stand-alone instrument designed for benchtop operation
  • Connects directly to photomultiplier tube sockets (such as models 266, 276 and 296)
  • Protects against sudden positive or negative high voltage spikes
  • The amplifier has a 10-volt linear output with low input noise and a wide gain range for use in a variety of applications
  • Low and high levels can be set over a 200:1 dynamic range of 50 mV to 9.99 V
  • Front panel buttons select setting in volts or count rate in kcps, 3-digit display
  • High voltage power supply continuously adjustable from 50 to 2000 V dc with selectable output polarity

ACE Mate preamps, amplifiers, bias supplies and SCAs provide a way to interface scintillation detectors with most ORTEC multi-channel analyzers. The ACE Mate is a stand-alone instrument designed for benchtop operation that integrates a low-noise preamplifier, spectral shaping amplifier, single-channel analyzer, count rate monitor, high-voltage power supply and digital display to monitor these functions. ACE Mate modules connect directly to ORTEC photomultiplier tube headers (such as models 266, 276 and 296), and these photomultiplier tube headers interface with the 905 Series scintillation detectors.
