The Type 566's enable input can be disabled by pulse or DC levels on the rear panel door input connector.
A valid start and a valid transition output will be provided for each accepted start and stop input, respectively. The duration of the active start output represents the time interval from the accepted start to the end of reset. A valid transition output occurs between the end of the internal delay after stop and the end of reset.
Selectable TAC output width and variable delay (easily adjustable) increase the flexibility of the Model 566, making it easily adaptable to a variety of time spectrum systems. The TAC's output can be synchronized to a stop signal or an external strobe signal, further enhancing its versatility.
The Model 566 is DC coupled and gated so the input count rate does not paralyze or otherwise prevent normal operation. The TAC output should be connected to the DC-coupled input of a multichannel analyzer for optimal high count rate performance.
